The GameOver a reworked version of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s “Deep Cover” The Game rides on the Police with his supposed response to the Sean Bell verdict. Interestingly enough, Game didn’t mention Sean Bell’s name or discuss the verdict on the track but I guess we can give him credit for saying “51 shots they gave that kid in New York” C’mon now, that kid in New York? Game spoke to AllHipHop earlier this way saying “I grew up in Compton and had to stay silent because of the fear that was prevalent in my community, but now that I have a voice I’m speaking out.” I commend Game on making that statement but if this is really his way off speaking out I think he was better off staying silent.

The re-worked beat sounds very cheap - casino keyboard type cheap. However, The Game does go hard at the cops lyrically. Too bad he didn’t touch more on the topic at hand and that’s the BS verdict the judge issued for the three cops that killed Sean Bell with 51 shots. You kind of get the feeling Game didn’t really write the song in response to the verdict at all and perhaps recorded this song a while before the verdict was issued. I sincerely hope that’s wrong and he is not trying to capitalize on the controversy of the topic.
