Rapper Remy Ma will have to wait until May 13, 2008 to find out how long her sentence will be after being found guilty of assault, weapons possession and attempted coercion Billboard reports in connection with the shooting of her friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph in July 2007.
The Bronx MC who is currently incarcerated at New York City’s Riker’s Island correctional facility will have to wait on her sentencing due to her lawyer Ivan Fisher being granted more time to prepare a sentencing submission. Remy Ma’s is facing a sentence that can range between 5 – 25 years which is entirerly up to the Judge presiding over the trial.
