Police have reportedly found a 5 gallon gas container on the grounds of 50 Cent’s mansion which burned to the ground in what police and fire officials describe as a suspicious fire due to the intensity of the blaze.
50 Cent is in a court dispute over the mansion with his ex-girlfriend who is claiming he purchased the home for her. Early Friday morning, the fire completely destroyed the $2.4 million Long Island mansion sending 6 people, including his ex-girlfriend and 10-year-old son to the hospital.
50 Cent’s ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, is accusing 50 of being involved in setting the fire even though the rapper was on location in Louisiana shooting a film. 50 Cent and Tompkins new boyfriend were involved in a physical altercation at Tompkins lawyers office earlier this week following a deposition hearing regarding the property dispute.
50 Cent has denied any involvement in the fire and expressed gratitude that no one was serious injured in the fire. Tompkins and the rapper will be in Manhattan Supreme Court over ownership of the mansion on June 10.
Arson investigators are yet to determine the cause of the fire which burned for 45 minutes.
