This is the second time Hillary Clinton has made references to assassination while making her plea as to why she should remain in the race for the Democratic Nomination. In an interview with the Argus Leader Editorial Board, Clinton made reference to Robert Kennedy’s Assassination while explaining that she in not unprecedented by staying in the race as long as she has even though she faces pretty much insurmountable odds in catching front runner Barack Obama.

Hillary Clinton claims to have not meant anything by the reference however many people have taken offense to the reference for two reasons. With Edward Kennedy’s current health situation, having found out he has a brain tumor, the subject of death in the Kennedy family should be out of bounds. Secondly, Barack Obama being the first ever African American candidate with a real chance of becoming President of the United States, he has received numerous death threats and is the first ever Presidential Nominee to have to have Secret Service protection right from the beginning of his campaign. To say the least, Hillary Clinton’s referencing the assassination lacks tactic and judgment. It also speaks loudly to what kind of President we would have if she were to win.
