Reverend Al Sharpton calls for the citizens of New York City to come together for a day of active protest throughout the city on Wednesday (May 7).
Along with members of the National Action Network, Sharpton has organized a citywide “pray in” in six locations throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn in hopes of moving the United States Department of Justice to action regarding the Sean Bell case.
Sharpton will be joined by Bell’s fiancé, Nicole Paultre-Bell, Joseph Guzman and Trent Benefield. The protest starts at 3:00 pm at One Police Plaza in Manhattan.
