Barack Obama is now the presumptive Democratic Nominee going up against an old style of politics and a member of the Republican “old boys club” in presumptive Republican Nominee John McCain. This week John McCain and his camp decided to attack Barack Obama’s character and patriotism by blatantly lying about the reason why Obama was unable to visit injured veterans in a German Hospital while he was oversea. John McCain said to Larry King, “he wanted to bring media people and cameras and his campaign staffers,” . In actual fact, Barack Obama never planned to bring the media people or cameras with him while he visited the troops and it was after The Pentagon told retired Air Force Maj. Gen. Scott Gration (an adviser to the Obama campaign) he couldn’t come, since he was officially seen as a campaign staffer and not as a former military man, the visit was canceled.
Why is that?
Barack Obama said Saturday that “we got notice that he (Gration) would be treated as a campaign person, and it would therefore be perceived as political because he had endorsed my candidacy but he wasn’t on the Senate staff. That triggered then a concern that maybe our visit was going to be perceived as political. And the last thing that I want to do is have injured soldiers and the staff at these wonderful institutions having to sort through whether this is political or not or get caught in the crossfire between campaigns.”
Yet, John McCain and his camp still continue these baseless attacks likely spending 100s of thousands on a new TV Ad to spread these untruths. Nevertheless, this is exactly the old style of politics we expect from an old codger like John McCain and it is exactly what Obama is speaking of. Do we really want to be lead into more pointless wars by another warmonger who’s supporters describe the current state of the economy as a “mental recession”? Do we really want to be lead by a man who claims to be qualified to lead yet doesn’t know how to login into hotmail or check his own email? Do we really want to be lead by a man who always looks uncomfortable addressing a crowd of people and gives poor answers to every question he is asked? In a time when the economy is failing, homes are being lost and countless Americans are becoming jobless, do we really want to be lead by a man who admits the Economy to something he knows little about? Do we want to be lead by a blatant liar?
The outcome of this election will set the stage for our success from decades to come. This is arguably the most important election of our lives and it is important we know the facts.

T.I. comes with his new single of Paper Trial entitled “Life of the Party” to follow is current single “No Matter What“. “Life of the Party” features R. Kelly right off the heals of his acquittal of Child Porn charges. The two embattled artists flow over a smoothed out party track talking about how they used to once enjoying going to the club but now with the fame and success they often get bothered by up and coming artists looking to get signed.
The topic matter is a bit stale as Jay-Z already did a song of this nature back in his hay day expressing the same “this some shit you need to hit me in the day wit”. To fare T.I. talks about other issues that he encounters at the club. The song does have a nice flow and will be a for sure hit but is does nothing in regards to breaking new ground in this Hip Hop world. Then again, how many songs are doing that these days anyway? T.I. Paper Trial comes on September 12, 2008. Here “Life of the Party” by T.I. featuring R. Kelly right here in High Quality:
